Rainbow Hot Springs has two primitive pools and is located in the San Juan National Forest. The upper pool has a temperature of almost 105°F (41°C). The larger, lower pool is roughly 95°F (43°C). Here you can breathe fresh air while you kick back in the warm water.
Nestled in California State Park, south of Bridgeport, Travertine Hot Springs is easily accessible and very popular. Go early to avoid the crowds. The mineral deposits color the rocks orange, green, and red. Admission is free and clothing is optional so prepare to see naked people.
