There’s more to this state park than bison sightings. The true highlight here though is the therapeutic water of the mineral springs. The hot springs here have attracted visitors from around the globe. The best place to soak is the bathhouse where the water’s always 104°F (40°C).
You have to hike three miles through the verdant Mount Hood National Forest to reach these springs. You even have choices. Choose a private room on the popular Private Deck. Soak in a whiskey barrel tub on the Public Deck, or enjoy yourself on the Upper Deck.
