Looking for a little winter break but can’t afford anything especially exotic or too terribly tropical? Perhaps you like the bite of the fresh winter air and the sight of freshly fallen snow.

1.  Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah

Beautiful Bryce Canyon National Park is located in Utah.  Visit during the winter and you’ll be rewarded with memorable views of Bryce Canyon’s snow-draped hoodoos.  These high natural rock structures were formed many, many years ago from ice, water, and wind erosion.  If that’s not enough for you, don’t worry.  There’s a lot to see and do here even in winter.

After all, the popular Bryce Canyon is a distinctive group of natural amphitheaters.  You will find them located one mile up and are only said to be a “canyon” for publicity purposes.
