18.Chiricahua National Monument, Arizona

The Chiricahua National Monument’s landscape consists of a number of unique compacted ash rock pinnacles. This park in Wilcox can be explored via a paved 8-mile scenic drive or by the 17 miles of day-use hiking trails. If you’re into ornithology, Chiricahua is said to be a prime birding spot.
