The unique Ravine Gardens State Park is located in Palatka. One of the nine official New Deal-era state parks in the state, it features a pair of ravines that are as deep as 120 feet with steep, 45-degree angle banks. It spans an area of 60 acres. Also included here are sturdy, 30 feet high suspension bridges that cross the ravines and a 1.8-mile loop that visitors can drive, hike, or bike to take in some noteworthy views. There are also trails into the ravines.

The noteworthy trail includes a number of famous golf courses created by several renowned course architects and some welcoming lesser-known public, military, resort, and semi-public courses from Pensacola to Key West. The majority of these courses were constructed during the “Golden Age” of golf course architecture between 1913 and 1939.
