The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens can be found in Palm Beach County, west of Delray Beach. This is a special center focused on Japanese arts and culture. Both the museum and the park are named after Miyazu, Japan-native George Morikami. Morikami donated his entire farm to Palm Beach County for this park. The 16 acres of Japanese gardens are a hidden highlight of Delray Beach. Here you’ll discover a serene place that includes koi ponds, picnic areas, trails, educational workshops, and a world-class bonsai collection.
The unique Devil’s Den Spring is ensconced in the beautiful horse farm country of Levy County. Covering about 40 acres, it can be found outside of Williston. This prehistoric natural spring is a great place for snorkeling and diving because the water here is crystal clear and a comfy 72 degrees Fahrenheit. The name harkens back to the days of the local early settlers who named it thus because the steam that rises from the den reminded them of smoke rising from the pits of Hell.
