Camping or even staying in a cabin cuts down on your expenses and there are a number of different free or inexpensive activities available here including fishing, hiking, and horseback riding. Be sure to stop and stroll through the Mount Hood Cultural and Museum as well. Here you can learn the evolution and history of skiing on the mountain via several educational exhibits.
