23. Fredericksburg, Texas
Fredericksburg is reportedly one of Texas Hill Country’s “most popular towns.” While the German heritage of this charming place is already known, it offers couples much more than a bit of history. It is also a great place for antiquing, wine tasting and participating in local festivals such as Oktoberfest.
Veteran visitors recommend exploring Wine Road 290, strolling along Main Street, and sampling delicious German dishes. Feeling athletic? Try hiking around Enchanted Rock.
24. Chicago, Illinois
While one might not immediately consider this city to be a romantic place, there are several different things for couples to do here both indoors and outdoors. Indoor options include seeing a play, catching a comedy show, going to a jazz club, or exploring one of the well-known museums. Outdoor options include visiting Millennium Park, where you can see Cloud Gate, a.k.a. The Bean, strolling the Chicago Riverwalk, or taking an architecture river cruise.
25. Honolulu, Hawaii
This capital city is the home of famous Waikiki Beach. You must go there one evening to see the pink-orange sunset there. Reserve a table at one of the hotels on the beach and enjoy dinner and drinks as you experience the event. If you’re feeling energetic, this is a great place to learn how to surf. Cruise the scenic Tantalus Highway, visit the village of Haleiwa, and don’t leave without some Keeaumoku Seafood either.
