1.  Breckenridge, Colorado

Colorado has some of the best ski resorts in the US such as Vail, Telluride, and Steamboat Springs.  If you’re on a budget though, your best bet is Breckenridge.  This quaint town is reported to have everything needed for the perfect ski vacation.

Here you can ski the slopes of 187 separate trails across five different peaks.  Ride the popular Gold Runner Alpine Coaster then explore historic downtown Breckenridge.  Rest up at the well-known Gravity Haus, the hip and trendy ski-in/ski-out hotel, or the 45-room  Lodge at Breckenridge, which features exceptional mountain views.

2.  Park City, Utah

Park City is also a favorite U.S. ski destination that is said to have something for everyone.  This place is family-friendly and with more than 330 ski trails, it’s even a great place for first-time skiers.  When you’ve had enough of the slopes, you can stroll around the city and check out all the different choices of shops and eateries available within the three villages there — Canyons Village, Mountain Village, and Old Town.  Veteran visitors suggest staying at the famous Zermatt Utah Resort & Spa Trademark Collection by Wyndham or the Newpark Resort.

3.  Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Enjoy great skiing in a wonderfully scenic part of the US.  Yes, the mountains offer you the opportunity to hit the fresh-powdered slopes and terrific terrain.  But there’s a lot more to do here besides ski.

4.  Miami, Florida

6.  Las Vegas, Nevada

8.  Phoenix, Arizona

9.Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Some call this US city “the gateway to Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  This city is a great place to visit any time of the year.  Visit here in winter and take a frosty, refreshing hike through the park here.  Hit the slopes at Ober Gatlinburg, and do some snowboarding and skiing there.  Take a ride on one of the local alpine coasters too,  Stay at The Park Vista or Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa for some great rates.

Famous Lake Tahoe spans the states of Nevada and California.  It’s surrounded by a number of different ski and lake resorts that offer visitors a wide range of enjoyable activities suitable for each season.  Travel experts suggest a stay at The Landing Resort & Spa which is suitably close to the Heavenly Ski Resort in South Lake Tahoe.
